Stephen Sondheim and Wynton Marsalis compare musical notes on their shared passion for our city in A BED AND A CHAIR: A New York Love Affair, an original production from New York City Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Cyrille Aimée, Jeremy Jordan, Norm Lewis and Bernadette Peters headline the show, directed by frequent Sondheim collaborator John Doyle. A BED AND A CHAIR features more than two dozen Sondheim compositions, each piece newly re-imagined under the music direction of Wynton Marsalis and performed by Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

Randy Brecker:
I was captivated by their first CD Two Sides One Story and this record, let’s say, just takes it from where they left off and while maintaining that tradition, shows them both blossoming and breaking new ground and new perspectives.-
No shows booked at the moment.
